Axial Load Direction and Bearing Arrangement
A spherical roller thrust bearing carries axial load in one direction. It can also carry radial load under appropriate axial loading, but it is not a general substitute for a radial spherical roller bearing. The surrounding arrangement must provide the required support and axial location.
For a vertical shaft or another thrust-bearing position, review the load direction, minimum axial load, lubrication and alignment together. A light-load or intermittent-duty application needs its own assessment; the bearing size alone does not establish a safe operating limit.
29426 Versus 29326: Same Bore, Different Envelope
The 29426 size is 130 × 270 × 85 mm. The existing 29326E bearing is 130 × 225 × 58 mm. Although both have a 130 mm bore, their outside diameters and overall heights differ substantially. Check the housing space, shaft shoulder and axial stack before considering a change of series.

Is the 85 mm dimension an individual washer width?
No. It is the overall bearing height H. Do not use it as the width of either washer when checking the installation drawing.
Can the same bearing carry thrust in both directions?
This bearing type carries axial load in one direction. An arrangement requiring reverse thrust must be assessed with the other locating components.
What does EM guarantee about the cage or performance?
A suffix should be checked against the manufacturer’s designation system and the offered drawing. This page does not assign a universal cage material, speed rating or load rating to EM.
